Location Camm
Farm is situated in the middle of the Three Peaks in spectacular isolation. By
road it is six miles from Hawes, the last three miles being on a single road with
four gates to an open and close. The road is at 2000 feet above sea level and
is part of the old Roman road from Bainbridge to Lancaster. On your drive or walk
to Camm Farm dependant on the time of year you can see curlew, grouse, golden
plover and buzzards. The scenery changes with the seasons from the dull green
of winter through bright green of spring, the white cotton grass in summer and
into the browns of autumn.
The Dalesway and Pennine Way footpaths both
cross through Camm Farm making it an ideal base to explore the footpaths of the
Yorkshire Dales. At Camm there is no light pollution, no sound apart from that
made by nature. If you want peace and quiet and an escape from the pressures of
town and city life, Camm Farm cannot be beaten.
